Teaching

At St Margaret’s we are very conscious of our responsibility towards the education of our Parishioners, especially the young. We offer a supporting role at all stages of a person’s development:

Preparation for Confirmation

At St Margaret’s we welcome both young and adult candidates for Confirmation which is an important part of a lifetime journey of faith as a follower of Jesus Christ.

Confirmation November 2019

The first step will be to contact Fr David on 07768-687605 or  email

When you speak to Fr David he will invite you to an initial meeting to help you get ready for the confirmation classes which are held during the year. This is a good way to explore your faith with others who are also thinking about confirmation and is a safe place to ask any questions you have about God, Jesus and the journey of faith.

You will no doubt have many questions about Confirmation and we would recommend the Church of England web site as a good source of information:

First Communion

A vital and memorable occasion in any young (and not-so-young) person’s religious journey. Fr David, with the assistance of all the congregation at St Margaret’s, will prepare you in order that you not only understand the communion service, but that you are relaxed and enjoy it.

Prayer

When – How – Why  –  the typical questions when one first approaches praying. There is an excellent article which addresses all your concerns and it can be found on the Church of England web site

 Local & National Courses

From time to time, we are made aware of both local and national education courses; information on these will be displayed on our web site

Bible Study

An area that we are just developing with Fr David running a Bible Study class during the lunch break at Belfairs Academy. For more details, please contact Fr David by email
