There is so much to think about when someone has died – there are formalities to complete, people need to be told and a funeral to organise. The Church of England web site will take you through the process and answer all your questions.
After the initial news of the death of someone you knew and loved, there are some important things that need to be done. These are two of the more immediate things:
1. Register the death. There is some helpful guidance on this on the government’s births, marriages, and deaths advice page https://www.gov.uk/register-a-death
2. Meet a Funeral Director.

FUNERAL LOCATIONS
A Church of England funeral doesn’t have to be in a church – though it can be. Fr David can lead the whole funeral service in a different place, or, a church service can be built into part of the day, wherever the funeral takes place.
